building community + bridging the gap

Under Our Skin was, and still is, a valuable resource for the Lyme disease community. However, nearly a decade has passed since its release, and the landscape surrounding Lyme disease, and documentary filmmaking, has shifted greatly.

With a focus on scientific fact, The Lyme Trials will seek to legitimize this disease in the eyes of the public.  Our goal with this project is to educate the masses by telling a story that resonates with a wide audience and breaks outside of the Lyme community.

We will create a film that can be used as a tool for community engagement and personal empowerment.  Given the controversial nature of Lyme disease, we believe it is deeply important to craft a journalistic story based on peer-reviewed scientific evidence, and with the highest production value.  We believe this approach will validate our much needed inquiry into the nature of this disease.
